Frisco is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Frisco peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. If you are your love one is ever in need of help, please do not come here. From the first encounter it was HORRIBLE. No professionalism at all and out right rude! Speaking on the phone repeating all patient information with the windows open. Huge HIPPA violation. It actually made the mental status WORSE! We tried to leave to find another place and they refused to let us leave.

Very disappointing experience. The facility's pharmacy could not provide one of my loved one's prescribed medications because they were out of stock. I drove to the hospital to bring the medication myself, but after waiting about 40 minutes, asking multiple times for assistance, and requesting to speak with a supervisor, no one ever came to help. I eventually had to leave with the medication, which meant my loved one went without a medication that had already been prescribed. What frustrates me most is not the inconvenience to me. It is that a patient went without needed medication because the process broke down. Better communication and a little urgency could have prevented the entire situation. I have filed a formal patient grievance because I believe this needs to be addressed. If you are considering entrusting the care of a loved one to this facility, I would encourage you to do your homework and carefully consider your options. Based on my experience, I believe you can likely find better care elsewhere.

I was admitted to the Psych Ward (hopefully this is the right place to put the review) a little over a year ago because I was withdrawing from a drug (I'll be coy about which one it was, but those in the know can probably guess and whittle it down to one or two classes of drug) I no longer wanted to take that can cause death if the withdrawal is not handled medically. The staff at the psych ward for medical city Frisco are probably why I'm alive with a healthy body (I've lost a lot of weight since as well, another good side effect of quiting the drug was that I no longer would gain weight because of it) and doing well today and have not had to take said drug again to manage my condition. I feel morally obligated to thank the mental health and psychiatry people at Medical City Frisco for how well they handled my emergency. Also, the facilities at this hospital (not just the Psych Ward, I took a little stroll through the whole place as I was leaving) are truly next level. This is BY FAR the nicest looking architecturally and probably most advanced technological hospital I've ever visited (for myself or as a visitor for family). If you need truly top tier care, you can't go wrong w

An patient at this facility has spam called my phone line for 3 days straight . HUNDREDS of calls. Multiple voicemails. I called the facilicity and reported the issue to a TOM , I continued to call and report the issue as the individual continued to call throughout the day. A MALE continues to intentionally call my number. It is a wrong number. I am not local. I do not know the person or anyone at the facility. When I called at 4 to report the issue again there must have been a shift change and the lady answering the phone was rude to me , wanted my entire address , and didn't seem to comprehend what was being said to her. I have had to carrier block this institution because they are doing nothing to watch their inpatient phone usage and allowing them to knowingly harass wrong numbers. Things said to me by this male when I answered the phone today "Sorry" and hung up "Sorry I have the wrong number" and hung up "Walmart kiddo" and hung up Multiple voicemails of heavy breathing and nurses talking in the background. See attached evidence of this facility harassing me ! I am making complaints. This is illegal in texas.

The nurses, therapists, and technicians are great here. I spoke with a doctor one time during my loved oneβs stay. They definitely push to medicate, so if you are not comfortable just voice your concerns and request a more thorough diagnosis. I was able to contact my loved one and they were able to call me anytime. I was able to see my loved one 3x a week but I had to sign up via signup genius in order to do so. Definitely read their policies thoroughly. We unfortunately came through intake around 3 am and I was very tired and missed a few rules. It makes visits and dropping off clothes easier if you read. While I recommend this hospital, one piece of advice is for aftercare. Definitely do your research on PHP and IOP programs because they are not all as good as this hospital.

My child was in the Brazos unit here. The front desk staff, nurses, and really all staff I came in contact with were very nice. My daughter says everyone was nice to her, things were kept clean, and the food was good. She came out much better than she went in. I appreciate this facility for their amazing care and would refer them to other families in the future. We live about 40 minutes away but it was worth the drive.

My daughter was unfortunately admitted a couple months ago. As scary as it was for us as parents. Admitting her here was the best decision we made. Everyone was very supportive and professional. It was incredible to see how much progress my daughter made in just a week. My daughter states her therapists were very encouraging and helpful to overcome her fears and her struggles to take care of herself. She was discharged feeling much better. Thank You Medical City mental health!

My main complaint is that I contacted the patient advocate twice during my stay in Cypress Unit and was sent to voicemail both times. My reason for the call was that there was no door to my bathroom. Nothing was done about this during my stay. Having no door to the bathroom made having a roommate extremely awkward. I felt vulnerable while using the bathroom in this place. It doesn't help that I've been sexually assaulted in the past. You'd think a mental hospital would be a little more trauma informed than this. One positive is that most of the staff were extremely caring and considerate. I say most, not all. Some of the nurses come to work with a negative attitude and treat patients disrespectfully. You can just tell who loves their job and who really needs to start looking for another job. Overall though, I'm grateful for this place. They helped me get back on my feet.
